The globalization is an increasing process in all aspects of economic, social, cultural and political world issues. Each of these aspects is important in the urban development process; but the economy is much more important and more fundamental, as economy sectors have been the most important leading part in the globalization process. This is due to the globalization of the world that had its greatest impact on the world economy. Economic globalization requires closer economic integration of the world countries through increased flows of goods and services, asset and labor. Economic globalization led to fundamental changes in types and levels of everyday life, especially residents of the metropolitan areas. Therefore to achieve sustainable urban development, it is essential to come along with technological development and economic communications. The purpose of this study was to clarify the nature of economic globalization on sustainable urban development. جابه¬جایی و انتقال فزاینده¬ی مردم، کالاها، سرمایه و اطلاعات، دنیا را جهانی کرده است. جهانی¬شدن فرآیند رو به گسترشی است که همه¬ی عرصه¬های اقتصادی، اجتماعی، سیاسی و فرهنگی شهرهای جهان را در بر گرفته است؛ هر کدام از این ابعاد در فرآیند توسعه¬ی شهری مهم¬اند، اما بعد اقتصادی بسیار مهم-تر و اساسی¬تر است. به نظر می¬رسد در فرآیند جهانی¬شدن مهم¬ترین و پیشتازترین بخش، اقتصاد بوده است؛ این مسئله از آنجا ناشی می¬شود که روند جهانی¬شدن بیشترین تأثیرات خود را بر اقتصاد جهان داشته است. جهانی¬شدن اقتصادی مستلزم یکپارچگی اقتصادی کشورهای جهان از طریق افزایش جریان کالا و خدمات، سرمایه و حتی نیروی کار است. جهانی¬شدن بویژه از بعد اقتصادی آن موجب شده نوع، شرایط و سطح زندگی روزمره¬ی انسان¬ها بخصوص ساکنان شهرها به طور اساسی متحول شود. بنابراین برای دستیابی به توسعه¬ی شهری ضروری است که همزمان با پیشرفت فناوری و همگام با ارتباطات اقتصادی در جهان گام برداریم. هدف از تحقیق حاضر روشن ساختن ماهیت جهانی¬شدن اقتصاد بر توسعه-ی شهری است. https://sspp.iranjournals.ir/article_3267_073b00ab99487b74b63c9a6d2b962ddc.pdf
