Generally speaking, globalization of economy is seen as further integration of national economy in the global economy and this issue has been widely debated by philosophers, theoreticians, and experts. Considering the importance and usage of the machinery, equipment, tools and metal products industries in big industrial projects and various fields of economy as capital goods, it is essential that economic policy makers concentrate on this section of industry. This study, utilizing Autoregressive Distributed Lag Modeling (ARDL) and annual data collected from 1974 to 2007, has investigated and assessed impacts of globalization on imports of these industries. The findings reveal that globalization of commerce has negative impacts on import demands of the above industries both in short and long term periods. فرایند جهانی‌شدن، دنیا را از ابعاد مختلف اقتصادی، سیاسی، اجتماعی و فرهنگی با تغییر و تحولاتی شگرف مواجه ساخته است. جهانی‌شدن اقتصاد، از دیدگاه کلی به‌عنوان ادغام بیشتر اقتصاد ملی در اقتصاد جهانی، توسط اندیشمندان، نظریه‌پردازان و صاحب‌نظران بسیار مورد بحث قرار گرفته است. با توجه به اهمیت و کاربرد محصولات صنایع ماشین‌آلات، تجهیزات، ابزار و محصولات فلزی در پروژه‌های بزرگ صنعتی و بخش‌های مختلف اقتصاد، به‌عنوان کالای سرمایه‌ای، ضروری است تا این بخش از صنعت در مرکز توجه سیاست‌گذاران اقتصادی قرار گیرد. در این پژوهش، اثرهای جهانی‌شدن بر واردات این صنایع با استفاده از الگوی خود توضیح با وقفه‌های توزیعی (ARDL) و داده‌های سالیانه 1386-1353  مورد مطالعه و سنجش قرار گرفته است.یافته‌های تحقیق نشان می‌دهد که جهانی‌شدن تجارت روی تقاضای واردات صنایع مزبور در بلند مدت و کوتاه مدت تأثیر منفی دارد. https://sspp.iranjournals.ir/article_5700_84f5ddd735176becc72c3b1ff424149e.pdf
