The main goal of the current study is to design a policy-making model for the development of the Internet of Things in Iran’s banking industry. This research was conducted qualitatively using the grounded theory. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews. In this regard, 10 interviews were conducted with experts and managers in the field of banking and financial sciences according to the research topic. Then, based on the theoretical systematic approach of Strauss and Corbin in the three main steps of open coding, central coding and selective coding, the policy-making of Internet of Things transformation in the banking industry was presented. The results of coding the interviews showed that the policy includes three main components of the supply chain, perceived ease and security and privacy. The causal factors that create the Internet of Things in banks are mainly related to 4 types of scientific infrastructure, technical infrastructure, management infrastructure and communication infrastructure. Among the infrastructures, the technical infrastructure is more important and after that, the infrastructure and management platforms have been considered very important by the experts.
